The Heart of the Panthers Planning Committee meets monthly to organize the all-class reunion, service events, and scholarship process. Vickie Thomes Suit, Class of 1978

Vickie, honored to be President of the Heart of the Panthers, is in her 7th year on the board. A couple of years ago, with the help of AD, Rick Creager, she started the Friday Night Lights alumni night at a football game. In 2013 she worked with Key Sports to start the first Rod Dillon 5k. While attending high school Vickie participated in band, flag corp, was manager of the State Runner Up Basketball team, and student director of the senior class play.  She married her high school sweetheart, Allen, and they live in Lebanon. They have 2 daughters and 2 Grand daughters. Vickie works at Alex Bell Dental in Centerville. In her spare time she loves to bake, sew, working on Heart of the Panthers events, and still participates in the Warren County Fair every July.

Greg Oliver, Class of 1977

Greg Oliver is a 1977 graduate of Springboro High School and a member of the Springboro High School Athletic Hall of Fame. Greg is the owner & founder of Oliver Financial Services, USA. Prior to entering the financial planning profession in 1989, Greg served 10 years in the United States Marine Corps. Greg and his wife Anna live in Cincinnati. When not working at building Oliver Financial Services, USA, he enjoys working with charities and supports The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul in helping others in need.

Wendy McDonald York, 
Class of 1979
Wendy is a 1979 graduate of Springboro High School. She is serving in  her second year on the HOP Board, and is happy to assist as the Secretary for the Board. She and her husband Greg moved back to the Springboro area 14 years ago and actually bought and live in Wendy's childhood home. They have 4 children, the youngest of which will graduate in 2017 from Boro. They also have two adorable grandchildren who provide countless joy and fun! Wendy is in her 29th year in the home health care area and spends her evenings troubleshooting for clients and trying to convince people to work when they sometimes don't want to!! She remembers when she first left Springboro and it was just a village! Wendy is happy and proud to be a Springboro grad and is overjoyed at being able to help give back to current and future Springboro Alumni! 

Molly Flynn Wray, Class of 1979

This is Molly's 4th year to serve on the Heart of the Panthers Committee.  She graduated from Miami University in 1985 with a B.S. in Education and received her M.S. in Educational Technology from Wright State University in 1994. She returned to her alma mater as a health teacher in 1986. Soon after, she married Bert Wray, class of 1980. They have 2 grown children and now reside in Lebanon. Molly maintains the website, creates graphics for the group, including designing ads and artwork for alumni apparel.   

 Deana Poe Staffan, Class of 1980

Deana graduated in 1980. After high school she went to Bowling Green State University and Wright State to graduate with her BSN in 1986. That same year she married Mike Staffan and will celebrate 28 years in September. She was blessed to be able to stay home with her children and she went back to work full-time seven years ago. Her children are Daniel, 26 years old , and Rebecca, 22 years old. She is working as a high risk OB telephonic case manager for Anthem in Virginia. Deana has been enjoying reconnecting with all the special people that she grew up with.

Ted and Becky Hall are 1958 graduates of Springboro High School and high school sweethearts.  Ted is one of the original football coaches, and he also coached tennis, track, and basketball .  Ted graduated from Morehead and Becky from Wittenberg and Miami.  Both are retired teachers who are enjoying their time volunteering in the community and being a part of the Heart of the Panthers reunion which they host every fall at the Easton Farm.

William (Bill) Ripley is married and has 5 adult children. Bill, his wife Rose and their best friend “Gus” a 1 year old Golden Retriever, live in Eden Wisconsin. Bill works as the Health and Safety Director of a dimensional stone mining company located in southeastern Wisconsin with 7 mine sites in Wisconsin. Bill secured this job due to his experience as a safety professional gathering experience from his 10 years as a Firefighter-EMT along with the training he received while working for Wisconsin Central Rail Road as a hazardous materials advanced specialist. While in Springboro, Bill and his family lived just outside of Springboro on a 15+ acre horse ranch. While attending Springboro High School, Bill was a member of the award winning Springboro Panthers Marching Band. He played freshman football and was one of the founding members of the school's wrestling team. Bill and his family left Ohio for Wisconsin in 1978. Although Bill lives in Wisconsin he still calls Springboro home and dreams of returning someday. The committee fondly thinks of Bill as a great Panther Alumni supporter from afar.
